The proper use of Layar requires a device with a camera, GPS, compass, accelerometer and an active WiFi or mobile Internet connection. Supported devices include the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S (running iOS 4.0 or later), Android devices (running v2.2 or later), Nokia C7, C6-01, E7, N8 and N97 (running latest Symbian firmware) and BlackBerry devices running 7 OS (BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930, BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860 and 9800/9810).

Layar does not officially support and tablets at this time, although the mobile application will run on iPad2 (3G version only) and most Android tablets. We plan to add tablet support in Q4 of 2011.
