Layar is not officially supported on IPhone 3G. There are known issues in using Layar on IPhone 3G with iOS 4. Layar will be removed from the stores of IPhone 3G soon.
For IPhone platform, we support any iOS device with compass and camera. At this moment it's: iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. Please notice that iPod 4G is not supported.

I don't understand why iPod Touch 4G wouldn't be supported. It's just like the iPhone 4 but without the antenna. I hope it is brought to iPod Touch 4G soon. It looks like a beautiful app and it's disheartening not to have any part in it.
Hi Joe,
The reason Layar can't run on iPod Touch 4 is because it doesn't have GPS, which makes a huge difference in accuracy from a wi-fi based location service. Unfortunately we've found the user experience to suffer significantly as a result of this, which is why we can't offer it on the wi-fi only iPad2 either.
Not sure what kind of mobile phone you have, but Layar is also available on Android devices.
