To create an account you have two options:

• Go to http://layar.com/accounts/register/
• Start the Layar Reality Browser. The option 'Create account' is offered in the welcome screen

You need to supply a username, email address and password.

Username:

• Unique, i.e. no other account can have the same username
• Cannot be changed
• Will be visible to others, so choose wisely
• Can only contain the following characters: ‘a’ - ‘z’ and ‘0’ - ‘9’
• Minimum of 4 characters in length
• Maximum of 16 characters in length

Email address:

• Unique, i.e. no other account can be linked to the same email address
• You need to have access to that email address to receive and send emails

Password:

• Any character is allowed
• Minimum of 6 characters in length
• Choose a strong password

The security of your account depends on the strength of your password. Here are some tips to create a strong password:

• Select a word or acronym and insert numbers between some of the letters.
• Include punctuation marks.
• Mix capital and lowercase letters
• Do not re-use passwords associated with any other type of account
